In a Caribbean Premier League match between the Trinbago Knight Riders and St Kitts and Nevis Patriots, a crowd member pulled off a stunning catch to send the stadium in ecstasy. Holding beer in one hand, the man pulled off a clean catch before his celebrations saw him spill over the drinks.

In a thrilling encounter that saw more than 450 runs being scored by the two teams combined, it was a brilliant one hand catch late on in the second innings that managed to stand out the most.

Trinbago Knight Riders had put up 216 runs in their 20 overs after batting first courtesy a fiery 90 by  Lendl Simmons laced with six maximums, leaving the Patriots with a steep target to chase. They got off to a shaky start and the wickets kept falling consistently before skipper Carlos Brathwaite walked to the crease and turned the tables around. However, it was during teammate Fabian Allen’s cameo that the exciting moment came into being.

Batting in the 18th over with 44 runs required off 18 balls, Kieron Pollard bowled a slower ball that bounced till Allen’s waist. Having already got into a position to slog, he managed to pull the ball awkwardly but it was good enough to clear the boundary. A man, with two jugs of beer in his hand, got down on a knee and plucked off a clean one-handed catch without spilling even a drop of the drink.

This would ensue wild celebrations along with a girl who joined in and climbed on his back celebrating the great moment. However, in a comedy of errors, the women made the man tumble backwards which ultimately led to him falling over and emptying the contents of the two glasses, Though the sequence left him fuming, it certainly proved to be a great piece of entertainment who witnessed the epic moment in action.

The match would go on to a super over where a heroic effort from Brathwaite earned his team an exhilerating win.
