IPKL 2019 | Bangalore Rhinos, Diler Delhi, Mumbai Che Raje register wins on Day 2

Diler Delhi have thrashed Chennai Challengers by a huge margin on the second day of the ongoing Indo-International Premier Kabaddi League (IPKL) in Pune. In two other games of the evening, Bangalore Rhinos got the better of Pondicherry Predators while Mumbai Che Raje won against Telugu Bulls.

The second day of the competition started with Bangalore Rhinos ensuring a win against Pondicherry by seven points. The team from Bengaluru had a great start to the tournament yesterday as they dominated proceedings for the most part of the game in the first two quarters itself. At half time, the Rhinos were having a lead of three points with the scoreline reading 20-17 in favour of the Rhinos. Bangalore further extended the lead in the next 20 minutes of the match and took the game by 39-32 to start their campaign on a winning note.

Diler Delhi too had a sensational start to their campaign in the league as they managed to defeat Chennai Challengers in a one-sided contest on Tuesday. The team from the national capital started off the match on a positive note by taking the first quarter 10-6 and also continued their dominance in the second one as well. At the break, Diler Delhi were leading by 31-9. Although Chennai tried hard to match Delhi in the remaining two quarters, they failed to do so and Delhi took the game away by a huge margin of 52-30.

The game between Mumbai Che Raje and Telugu Bulls went down to the wire and the team from Mumbai won the game 34-33 in the end. Although the Bulls had a great start in the opening quarter, Mumbai came back strong in the second one and at the interval, the score was 20-14 in Mumbai’s favour. The table turned again in the last two periods but the Bulls still fell short by a point and Mumbai started off their IPKL journey with a thrilling win.
