Sanath Jayasuriya hails captain Kohli for India's performances
Sri Lanka legend Sanath Jayasuriya, on Wednesday, said that Virat Kohli's spirited captaincy has enabled the India to find the perfect rhythm against England. Jayasuriya also felt that triple centurion Karun Nair showed a lot of patience in scoring a big score and said future is bright for him.
Legendary batsman Sanath Jayasuriya has heaped praise on Virat Kohli for his captaincy and batting performances following India's 4-0 trouncing of England in the five-match Test series.
"Team India is in rhythm. Defeating even a strong team like England comfortably," Jayasuriya told PTI, at an event
He also attributed Team India's success to the "spirited" captaincy of Virat Kohli, who also led the batting charts in the series with 655 runs to his name and was also adjudged man-of-the-series.
"He is a good captain and marshalling bowlers well. He himself is delivering good performances," the Lankan great said.
The former left-handed batsman had special praise for Karun Nair who played an outstanding knock of 303 not out in the fifth Test against England at Chennai.
"It's not an easy job. One has to have tremendous patience to reach such a milestone," the 47-year old said.
The former Sri Lankan opener also wished great success for Anil Kumble as India's head coach.

Asked if Virat Kohli should be made the captain across all three forms of the game, Karim said, "Kohli is capable. But, MS Dhoni has already been named as captain till Champions Trophy in 2017. When Dhoni leaves then Virat naturally will take over as captain in one day as well T20 too."
