In a Natwest T20 Blast game, Lancashire’s Matt Parkinson bowled a superb leg-break delivery which surprised Daryl Mitchell, who completely failed to understand the ball and got bowled out. His parsimonious spell helped Lancashire brush aside Worcestershire to keep their quarter-final hopes alive.

The ongoing Natwest T20 has provided many funny moments to savor that amused the cricket fans world over. However, Lancashire leggie Parkinson showcased of his spinning brilliance as he dismissed Daryl Mitchell with a one that spun a mile.

In the eighth over of the match, Mitchell tried to defend a Parkinson's leg-spin by putting his bat in front but failed to judge the turn of the ball. But what happened after that was a sight for the sore eyes as the batsman became a mere spectator. The ball took an inward drift to whip off the bails.

Parkinson was the pick of the bowlers with 1 for 14 from four. His economy rate was much-talked about even before this game having returned 4 for 23 in defeat to Yorkshire last Friday. Of all bowlers who have bowled more than three overs in this season's Blast, the 20-year-old's economy rate of 5.78 runs per over is the best. He has 13 wickets from eight appearances.

Earlier, a collective effort from the Lancashire bowlers kept Worcestershire to just 127 before Lancashire batsmen polished off the chase in 17.3 overs to seal a seven-wicket win. Brett D'Oliveira scored 30 to take Worcestershire over the 120-run mark in what turned out to a poor day at the office for them.
