The 2018 edition of the Karnataka Premier League is going on in full-swing and the franchises have already stepped up their game in order to lay their hands on the coveted KPL trophy. With that in mind, we shift our focus on the Bijapur Bulls squad as they brace themselves for a tough season ahead.

Bijapur Bulls have been one of the most consistent performers in the Karnataka Premier League ever since its inception almost a decade ago. Owned by the company - Vivid Kreations, the bulls have been an all-round side and have always managed to challenge for the KPL trophy in the recent years.

A new-look squad, under the leadership of former Deccan Chargers batsman - Bharat Chipli, and the ever-dangerous KC Cariappa, will be in contention for a title this time around as well. They brought in the likes of Mir Kaunain Abbas, KP Apanna and Mohammad Farooqui to bolster their squads in the auction that was held a few months ago.

The Kiran Kattimani-owned franchise will surely look to challenge for the ultimate prize as the team management is quite hopeful of rectifying the mistakes from last season to guarantee an above-average performance from the boys this year. Although the Bulls endured a rather disappointing defeat on the opening day to Hubli tigers, they showed signs of promise all throughout the game at the M Chinnaswamy stadium in Bangalore.
