Former Australia international James Faulkner is all set to represent English club Lancashire for the fourth time in the Vitality T20 Blast. Faulkner described the club as “a home away from home” having played elemental role in their maiden title winning run in the competition back in 2015.

Former Australia all-rounder James Faulkner is rearing to represent Lancashire in the 2020 season of the Vitality T20 Blast. Having represented the county in three seasons of the tournament, Faulkner did miracles in his first season at the club as he played an instrumental role in securing Lancashire’s maiden T20 Blast title.

Faulkner, who has scalped 56 wickets for the club, expressed his joy over representing the club as he even went on to say that Lancashire is “a home away from home.” He also shared his wish to win the title with the side.

"I am thrilled to be returning to Emirates Old Trafford for next season's Vitality Blast. It feels like a home away from home for me and I cannot wait to get started again in May," Faulkner was quoted as saying by TOI.

"Emirates Old Trafford is an amazing place to play cricket and I can't wait to reunite with the squad next summer. I'm determined to win the Vitality Blast trophy back for the Club.”

Paul Allott, Lancashire’s Director of Cricket, heaped the all-rounder with praises as he pointed out that Faulkner is a seasoned cricketer and has proved his mettle playing around the world. Faulkner finished as the joint leading wicket-taker of the season in his very first season in the Vitality Blast.

"James is a fantastic, well-rounded cricketer of significant experience and we are delighted to welcome him back to Emirates Old Trafford for a fourth season in 2020,” Allott said.

"He is the very definition of an all-rounder. He can bowl in any situation, which he has done successfully for us at both the beginning and back end of an innings, and is still a powerful batsman, not to mention his outstanding ability in the field too.

"His enthusiasm in representing the Red Rose is evident and he has established himself as a key figure in our T20 side. He is a proven winner and a great role model to the younger players," he added.
