While walking off to the pavilion without waiting for the umpire’s decision is considered a great show of sportsman spirit, doing the same when you’re not out sure brings out some giggles. Yuvraj Singh managed to do exactly that as he walked off despite being not out in the Global T20 Canada.

Being out of the sport can do that to you. Yuvraj Singh has been on the international circuit for way longer than he should have and along with his once unparalleled physical attribute, it is his gut feeling that has taken a hit too.

The incident happened during the match between Toronto Nationals and Vancouver Knights. Leading the side Nationals, Yuvraj was the main attraction of the match and as expected the skipper started off in a slow manner while the likes of Rodrigo Thomas and Heinrich Klaasen were going for the biggies.

However, the crowd’s s expectations to see a late cameo from the once swashbuckling batsman came to a screeching halt when Yuvraj’s attempt to send Rizwan Cheema out of the park saw his getting an outside edge. However, while the keeper failed to take the catch, the ball that bounced off to hit the wicket couldn’t get to it before Yuvraj got back to the crease.

But, Yuvraj was quick to turn back and walk to the stands believing it was out. It was either that or he knew that he was letting the team down with mistimed shots. He could make only 14 runs off 27 balls. Eventually, the Knights won by eight wickets.
