Uncapped Bangladesh batsman Saif Hassan, who was stranded in Kolkata due to visa expiry, will fly back to Dhaka on Wednesday, November 27. Hassan who was all set to debut in the D/N Test in Kolkata was ruled out of the match due to an injury he picked up in the first game against India in Indore.

The India tour for Bangladesh batsman Saif Hassan has been quite eventful but not the way he wanted it to be. After picking up an injury in the first Test match in Indore, fielding as the twelfth man, the uncapped opener is now left stranded at Kolkata.

According to Sportstar, the batsman was denied board pass by Biman Bangladesh Airlines as his visa expired, unfortunately, a day before he was supposed to leave for his home with his teammates (November 24). Hassan who was all set to make his debut after another no show by the Bangladesh openers in Indore, but couldn’t earn the cap owing to the injury, should have left well before.

He stayed back to complete visa formalities - to extend the validity - with the help of the High Commission. Saif's visa was made closer to June, before he represented BCB XI in the Thimmappiah Memorial Cricket tournament. Saif, who is a victim of poor planning by the BCB, is expected to leave for Dhaka today (November 27).
