On a rain-curtailed day in Bengaluru, India Red continued their batting dominance on the third day of the game so as to extend the lead to 114 thanks to Abhimanyu Easwaran's 153. Meanwhile, India Green bowlers pulled the plug but as it turned out, it wasn't enough to take the control back from Red.

Brief Scores: India Red 345/6 (Abhimanyu Easwaran 153; Ankit Rajpoot 3-77) lead India Green 231 by 114 runs.

Resuming the day from a pretty strong position, Easwaran had the opportunity to carry on the proceedings for a while to give the Red team a somewhat dominant position but he lost his overnight partner Ankit Kalsi after putting on a 101-run stand for the third wicket. However, the Bengal opener didn't let the tempo die down that easily as he added another 49 runs to add to his tally.

The second session turned out to be an impressive one for the Green team in which Tanveer Ul-Haq and Ankit Rajpoot picked up one wicket each. Tanveer also had Aditya Sarvate on the floor, in what can be called as a perfect set up - as the batsman was given full balls on a regular basis before one mean bouncer made him awkwardly fend.

Ishan Kishan and Sarwate further ended any hopes of collapse with a steady 61-run stand before Rajput managed to scalp the former's wicket. A burst of rain arrived post-tea and with the light fading with every passing minute, just four overs were bowled in the session, bringing the day's play to a halt.
