Celebrations are undoubtedly a key highlight when bowlers claim a wicket, but they can occasionally result in unfortunate injuries. This was precisely the case in the U-19 match between Nepal and Bangladesh, where Nepalese spinner Yuvraj Khatri's exuberant celebration took a dramatic turn.

‌Nepal enjoyed a promising start after opting to bat first, with opener Aakash Tripathi anchoring the innings with an impressive 43 off 77 balls. However, the top order struggled to build on his efforts, as Mayan Yadav, Arjun Kumal, Naren Bhatta, and Santosh Yadav fell cheaply. It was the middle-order resilience from Uttam Magar and Abhishek Tiwari that steadied the ship, propelling Nepal to a total of 141 in 20 overs. In response, Bangladesh's chase got off to a shaky start when Kalam Siddiqui Allen was dismissed in the very first over. Amid the pressure of the game, a bizarre yet painful moment unfolded involving Nepal’s spinner, Yuvraj Khatri, whose quirky celebration went awry.

The incident occurred during the fifth delivery of the 28th over. Khatri bowled a fuller delivery targeting the off-stump to Farid Hasan Faysal. The Bangladesh wicketkeeper misjudged the line as he attempted a scoop over his counterpart but instead saw the ball angle in and crash into the stumps. Khatri was ecstatic as he removed his shoe and held it to his ear like a phone, and gestured as though taking a call and delivering a cheeky send-off by pointing toward the dugout. On the very next ball, Khatri bowled a full-length delivery at the leg stump to Md Rizan Hossain. The batter tried to defend but the ball straightened and struck him plumb on the pads as the umpire wasted no time raising his finger. Overjoyed with the decision, Khatri took off on a celebratory sprint but disaster struck mid-run as he twisted his ankle and collapsed to the ground in visible pain. The physio was called onto the field, and Khatri had to be carried off on the physio's back, cutting his spell short and turning his moment of triumph into an unfortunate episode.

Damn! sealed
