When the stakes are high against the opposition, the other team must proceed with caution. However, Bangladesh opener Parvez Hossain Emon failed to embody this approach, getting dismissed on the very first delivery of India’s innings, thanks to Mayank Yadav’s great start at Hyderabad.

‌A packed Hyderabad crowd got their money’s worth as India posted their highest T20I score, amassing 297/6 in 20 overs. The innings were led by Sanju Samson’s 111 runs and Suryakumar Yadav’s explosive 75 off 35 deliveries. The batting was further bolstered by Hardik Pandya’s quickfire 47 off 18 and Riyan Parag’s 34 off 13, propelling India to a record-breaking total. In response, Bangladesh got off to a terrible start, losing opener Parvez Hossain Emon on the very first delivery of their innings.

 

On the first ball of the match, Mayank Yadav came over the wicket and bowled a shorter delivery aimed at Emon’s body. Emon attempted to slog but ended up mishitting the shot late. He was beaten for pace as he jumped and tried to pull the ball toward square leg, only to get it on the gloves. The ball travelled to the slip position, where Parag took a simple catch. The Twitterverse reacted quickly to Emon’s early dismissal, celebrating Yadav’s crucial breakthrough for his side.
