Mixed Fortune for SRH Big Boost Comes with Unexpected Setback.

Sunrisers Hyderabad now have an opportunity to make a comeback in the IPL 2026. The team has already played a few games without their captain and primary bowler, Pat Cummins. He was ruled out of the first few games due to an injury which he suffered back in the series against the West Indies.

Recently, Cummins went back to Australia for the final scans and fitness tests. It has been confirmed that he has now fully recovered for the team, and would be ready to play. This comes as a big positive for Sunrisers Hyderabad, as the team would now have their captain back at the helm and the bowling line-up will have more depth.

At the same time, Sunrisers Hyderabad have also been dealt with negative news. David Payne, another overseas bowler for the team, has now been ruled out of the tournament due to an injury. While Payne received just a few opportunities to play, he was still able to grab wickets for the team.

Our Take

Sunrisers Hyderabad will be delighted to know that Pat Cummins would now be back to the team. With him being at full recovery, he has regained his potential and will now be looking forward to making his comeback unforgettable. Hyderabad will be playing its next game against Chennai Super Kings, and it still remains unclear whether Cummins will be playing this game or not. As per reports, he will be in India by 17 April and the match is scheduled to take place on 18 April.
