9:34 PM IST: Di Marzio has spoken! Marcos Alonso has signed for Chelsea from Fiorentina. The fee is reported to be around  £23m. The former Bolton defender is back in the Premier League, and he could be the final piece of the picture Antonio Conte is trying to paint at Chelsea. The LWB required for the 3-5-2 formation? But the Spaniard has not really played in that role too often in his career.

9:28 PM: Tottenham receive ultimatum from Newcastle

9:21 PM IST: Stoke City sign Dutch defender Bruno Martins Indi from Porto on a season-long loan with a view to a permanent deal. The 24-year-old was part of the Dutch squad which finished third in the 2014 World Cup.

The sale of Luis Alberto has just been confirmed. He will leave Liverpool for Lazio. He was on loan to Malaga and then Deportivo la Coruna the last year. It is reported he will leave for a fee of £4.3m.

9:10 PM IST: Arbeloa to West Ham

Ex-Liverpool and Real Madrid right-back Alvaro Arbeloa is set to join West Ham. The Hammers were in need of a right back having failed to retain Carl Jenkinson, and Antonio has been filling up the void so far. Arbeloa’s arrival will add a lot of experience to the back-four.

9:01 PM IST: Wait a minute! There is a big twist here! Apparently, Arsenal have turned down Roma’s bid for Jack Wilshere, and the midfielder is now on his way to Bournemouth. Crystal Palace have also pulled out of the race.

8:50 PM IST: There is no confirmed news on the immediate destination of Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere yet. But according to Sky, it is NOT a three-horse race between Bournemouth, Crystal Palace, and Roma. It is only Roma at the moment, who are in the race, which might be a strange decision on Wilshere’s part, since he is unlikely to be a regular at the Italian club.

8:45 PM IST: One medium rare Wilfried Bony please!

8:40 PM IST: Algerian striker Islam Slimani is on his way to Leicester City. The Algeria Football Federation's Instagram page has confirmed that they have given Islam Slimani permission to go and have a medical with the Premier League champions. Reportedly, the fee is set to be around £30m for the 28-year-old, who scored 31 goals in 46 appearances for Sporting CP last season. Here is what to expect from him.

8:30 PM IST: David Luiz is in London to complete his return to Chelsea. PSG and Chelsea have agreed on a fee, and the player will now have a medical and then discuss the terms. So, Chelsea bought him for €25m, then they sold him to PSG for €50m, and now they are resigning him for a reported fee of €40m. Somehow that surely makes sense?

7:50 PM IST: Werder Bremen have signed Serge Gnabry from Arsenal for around €6m. The 21-year-old spent the last campaign on loan at West Bromwich Albion but returned to North London early after only making only one Premier League appearance for the Baggies. Apparently, the Arsenal fans are not too pleased with their captain Per Mertesacker, who apparently convinced Gnabry to make this move.

7:20 PM IST: Mario Balotelli has finally succeeded in finding a club for himself! The mercurial Italian has completed a medical with French club OGC Nice, according to Goal France. The 26-year-old has not played for Liverpool since April 2015, and he was struggling to find a new club who could free him from the contract at Anfield, which would have expired in 2018. Earlier this summer, Balotelli was turned down by the likes of Sassuolo.

7:12 PM IST : Manchester City and former Arsenal midfielder Samir Nasri has joined Sevilla on loan. According to reports, Sevilla are paying 65% of Nasri's wages for the duration of the deal while there is no option to make the move permanent for the Spanish club. The Frenchman’s future at the English club has been under a lot of speculation since the arrival of Pep Guardiola, who did not consider him a part of his plans.
