Half of Gameweek 3 is officially over and the managers are out in full flow for their post-match press conferences. There is a lot to say after a shock defeat for Manchester United, Liverpool handing Arsenal yet another 3 plus goal loss and one rather big win for Chelsea and Frank Lampard.

Arsenal

After two games against Liverpool, Arsenal manager Unai Emery is yet to win against Jurgen Klopp in the Premier League and that trend continued at Anfield. The Reds are now the only Premier League side left with a winning record, with Arsenal now earning their first loss of the season. They will have to buck up as they face Tottenham in the first North London derby of the season next weekend.

“Really I’m disappointed with the result. It’s the first analysis we can do but after 90 minutes we did different situations with the players, tactically and spiritually. I think the team showed in one moment good character and it’s one step ahead we want to do. The result means we’re not happy today, but we can be optimistic for another situation,” said the Spaniard according to Arsenal’s official website.

Liverpool

Not a five-star performance from Jurgen Klopp and his men, but they were clinical in front of goal and made the most out of the few chances they created. However, at the same time, in their biggest game of the season so far, they dominated their Big Six rivals in Arsenal, walking away with a deserved 3-1 victory.

“I was really happy with a lot of parts of the game; I think everything we did well in the first four games we did tonight for longer, more precise and better tuned. I loved the desire, the passion, the power and the energy that we put into this game. It made us really uncomfortable to play against, which is what we wanted and so we deserved the first goal,” revealed the German according to Liverpool’s official website.

Chelsea

After three rather long games without a win, Frank Lampard and his Chelsea side finally got the three points, although few would say it was well deserved. They struggled to defend against what seemed like a rampant Norwich City in the first-half, eventually getting the better of the Canaries in the second half, thanks to a brace from Tammy Abraham.

“I am satisfied but relieved because we should have had the game tied up earlier because we had good chances and we controlled big parts of it. I am satisfied with the three points because Norwich is a tough place to come to, they are a very good side and I knew that already, they will take a lot of points off teams both home and away. I am very pleased with the performance,” said Lampard according to Chelsea’s official website.

Manchester United

The shock defeat of Gameweek 3, the Red Devils succumbed to a struggling Crystal Palace side, after Jordan Ayew and Patrick Van Aanholt took full advantage of defensive errors. While Daniel James did manage to pull one back, the Red Devils just couldn’t grab a hold of the game and it eventually saw Crystal Palace become the first team to beat United at Old Trafford this season.

“The first half was poor. In the first half-an-hour, you're feeling you're controlling it and maybe it seems too easy. We didn't really have that zip and urgency about us and they scored with the first chance. Just a long kick, it should never happen, that's poor defending. But in the second half, I thought we were excellent. We were pressing, pushing, creating chances, just not scoring. We didn't have that Midas touch today,” revealed Solskjaer to Manchester United’s official website.
