Transfer rumors are a dime a dozen but the transfer window is only open for a little more than a month before it slams shut (unless you are in the Premier League). Things have gone quiet for now, but expect a few panic moves, a few well thought of ones and more than a few never-gonna-happen.

Barcelona to offer Lionel Messi a new four-year deal

Arguably the greatest player to ever play football and he’s on his way to becoming the greatest one-club man and yet Barcelona are not happy with his contract status. Maybe that’s why ESPN has reported that the Catalan giants are going to offer Lionel Messi a brand new four-year deal that effectively keeps him at the club till he’s 37. Why not just give him the lifetime deal now and end everything?

Inter Milan end interest in Romelu Lukaku

Despite desperately chasing the former Everton man Romelu Lukaku for most of this summer transfer window, Inter Milan are done. Italian news outlet Gazzetta dello Sport have reported that the Nerazzurri have shut the door for Lukaku and his Italian adventure, turning their attention instead to Roma. It seems that re-igniting a move for 33-year-old Dzeko is the hip thing now, as AS Roma continues to lose players.

Gareth Bale won’t leave Real Madrid on loan

Zinedine Zidane and Gareth Bale’s agent, not the player mind you, have been having words that have simply added to the Welshman’s transfer saga. Now to add spice to the mix, Bale’s agent has now stated that the 30-year-old will not be a part of any loan deal and will only potentially leave on a permanent.

He then added that Bale is the one of best players in the world, so we know just how far Jonathan Barnett is willing to go for his client.

Bruno Fernandes reveals his desire to play in England

The Red Devils and their issues with creativity last season was well documented, as well as Arsenal’s problems with keeping a clean sheet. And yet no deal has been struck for Bruno Fernandes. Now the midfielder is fed up and has issued a come-and-get-me plea to Manchester United, hoping that it convinces the Red Devils to fork out more than the £56 million they’ve managed so far.

Barcelona interested in Bayern Munich man David Alaba

David Alaba is not the happiest man at the moment. Or at least he shouldn’t be after being offered up as makeweight for not one but two different deals by Bayern. The 27-year-old may not have had the best 2018/19 season but he still remains one of the best players at the club. It’s exactly the time for a transfer rumour to pop up and the Daily Mail has reported that Barcelona wants him now.

They didn’t want him as part of a deal for Ousmane Dembele but watching how he’s been used as a make-weight has certainly caught their eye. The report further adds that they believe he could be the man to push Jordi Alba even further.
