Neymar scored his first goal since rejoining Santos, converting a 14th-minute penalty in their 3-1 victory over Água Santa. Despite working through rehabilitation for a knee injury, Neymar also assisted in another goal. His return to Santos marks a significant step in his recovery after leaving Al-Hilal, where he faced injury setbacks.

In the São Paulo state championship, Neymar marked a key milestone in his recovery with a 3-1 victory for Santos over Água Santa. The 33-year-old forward scored his first goal since returning to Santos, converting a 14th-minute penalty to boost his confidence after a tough rehabilitation.

Although Neymar is still undergoing physical therapy, his performance was impressive as he also assisted in setting up Guilherme’s 70th-minute goal. This victory provides positive momentum for both Neymar and Santos as they continue their campaign.

Neymar had previously terminated his contract with Saudi club Al-Hilal after battling injuries, having played only seven games. He officially returned to football in October 2024, signing a six-month contract with Santos, where he achieved great success in his first stint from 2009 to 2013.

Neymar's first spell at Santos saw him score 138 goals in 225 appearances. Before joining Al-Hilal in 2023 for a record transfer fee of 90 million euros, Neymar had moved to Paris Saint-Germain for a record-breaking 222 million euros in 2017. His recent performance against Água Santa marks an encouraging start on his road to full recovery.
