Bayern Munich Plan Contract Extension Talks with Harry Kane
Bayern Munich are set to open contract talks with Harry Kane after the season to extend his stay beyond 2027. Kane, who has scored 138 goals in 141 games including 53 this season, ignored a release clause. Karl-Heinz Rummenigge confirmed the club’s intention to secure his future.

With the future of Harry Kane becoming a key topic, Bayern Munich are preparing to open contract extension talks with their star striker at the end of the season. Kane, whose current deal runs until 2027, chose not to activate a reported release clause, signalling his commitment to the club for now. Since joining Bayern in a £100 million move, the England captain has delivered outstanding numbers, scoring 138 goals in 141 appearances, including 53 goals this season alone.
His impact has gone beyond scoring, as he has developed into a deeper playmaker under manager Vincent Kompany, helping teammates like Michael Olise and Luis Diaz thrive. Club legend Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has praised Kane’s influence and confirmed that discussions will take place after the campaign with the aim of extending his stay.
Meanwhile, Bayern remain firm on keeping Olise despite interest from other clubs. Although Kane is thriving in Germany and even entering the Ballon d'Or conversation, there is still speculation about a future return to the Premier League, where he sits on 213 goals and continues to chase Alan Shearer’s all-time record of 260.
