Brett Lee has praised Shivam Mavi’s bowling qualities and opined that the young bowler has the potential to be the future star of Indian cricket. The former Australian fast bowler has also stated that the 19 years old has beautiful action and packs himself as a 'fully furnished' bowler.

Shivam Mavi’s comeback after he got hit for 29 runs by Shreyas Iyer - the most expensive over in IPL 2018 - has pleased everyone in the cricketing world. In a match against Delhi Daredevils, the young bowler conceded 58 runs in his full quota of 4 overs. His chances in the playing eleven were looking dull, but the team management persuaded with him, which proved to be a great decision. The bowler has looked even more impressive after that one odd performance.

Former Australian bowling fast bowler Brett Lee has been highly impressed by the U-19 Indian star and didn’t hesitate to term him as a bowler to watch out in coming years. Brett Lee, who is in the commentary panel of IPL, feels the bowler has got everything in his arsenal to be a quality fast bowler and has a beautiful action.

"I think Mavi has got everything. His actions are beautiful and he packs himself as a fully furnished bowler. With youngsters like Mavi, it's extremely important to play with confidence, enjoying the spirit of the game," Lee said, quoted by Cricketnext.

"He knows what he is doing and it looks like he really enjoys his cricket. I think Mavi for me is the future for Indian bowlers."

KKR, currently on the third spot, will be competing against defending champions Mumbai Indians in a thrilling IPL contest on Sunday afternoon at the Wankhede Stadium.
