IPL 2016 | Twitter reacts as Sunrisers Hyderabad overcome Gayle storm to win IPL 9
Sunrisers Hyderabad won the ninth edition of the IPL as they beat Royal Challengers Bangalore in a high-scoring match. David Warner led from the front, and even a Gayle storm could not stop the Orange Army from lifting the trophy. Twitter responded with great tweets and here are the best of them.
When David Warner elected to bat first...
"Had I known [that SRH wanted to bat], we wouldn't have come out for the toss. I wanted to bowl anyway," - Virat Kohli at the toss #RCBvSRH

Well… the decision was surprising but proved to be the right one eventually.
david warner has won the toss and asked virat kohli to win the IPL #RCBvSRH #IPLfinal

Small, smaller, smallest!
Wanted to buy front row tickets for the #IPLfinal at Chinnaswamy stadium. Then realized every row is a front row its that small #RCBvSRH

Vijay Mallya disliked this tweet.
#RCBvSRH If RCB wins today SBI CEO will come to collect the trophy

Well, atleast close enough.

Seems a legit way to get him out.
Maybe the only way to get Warner's wicket now. 😉 #LiveToPlay #RCBvSRH pic.twitter.com/u4zg99jiu8

When you can’t get them out, try to knock them out, right?
Virat Kohli is trying out new ways of stopping @SunRisers skipper @davidwarner31! #RCBvSRH https://t.co/xY8IMk60Mt pic.twitter.com/RxPU4e19SL

Ramiz Raja : Yeh inka signature shot hai#SRHvsRCB #RCBvSRH
Ben Cutting just went full mental at the end.
Cutting is cutting down RCB's chances of winning this match #RCBvSRH

And it was brutal. Both the times!
The last time a Watson got attacked so badly, I was watching a really nerve-racking climax of Sherlock.#RCBvSRH

That legendary performance deserved it!
Watson Scored 61 In Just 24 Balls. Just Made Him Group Admin Of Our Whatsapp Group. #SRHvRCB #RCBvSRH #IPLfinal #IPL2016

GAYLE STORM HAD ARRIVED!
#SRH fans right now. #GayleStorm #RCBvSRH pic.twitter.com/NxSlpztQ8s
— Sir Lazy (@iLazyLad) May 29, 2016
Not sure how that would help, but worth a try maybe?
SRH bowlers should just throw the ball directly to the boundary if its Gayle on strike #RCBvSRH
— The UnReal Times (@TheUnRealTimes) May 29, 2016
That analogy!
Chris Galye may be West Indian Kumbhakarna.
— Sorabh Pant (@hankypanty) May 29, 2016
A giant.
Was asleep for the whole tournament.
Alarm went off only in the final.#RCBvSRH
A night of great analogies, right?
Chinnaswamy stadium is the Parthiv Patel of cricket grounds. #RCBvSRH
— Sagarcasm (@sagarcasm) May 29, 2016
And they just kept on coming…
Gayle getting out & ABD coming in is like Hulk resting and superman taking charge. #RCBvSRH
— Sir Lazy (@iLazyLad) May 29, 2016
Let’s get a petition started.
For matches at Chinnaswamy stadium, ICC should allow 4 fielders outside the boundary rope, 2 outside stadium and 1 outside city. #RCBvSRH
— Psycho (@i_Psycho) May 29, 2016
It went south very quickly for RCB.
RCB batsmen are going down just like the Kingfisher's stocks.#RCBvSRH

Hard to debate that after looking at the run-out
Stuart Binny runs faster when it is about bringing drinks for players but NOT running between the wickets. #RCBvSRH
