"I never really fully overcame the issue (the DRS issue) - the last time I got out in Test cricket I was given LBW both times. I don't particularly like failing or losing so I try really hard to eradicate that problem. It's always challenging, and different people have different weaknesses. For me, it was the LBW and I worked really hard on the technical aspect but perhaps I didn't sort out the mental aspect of it in terms of how to deal with it. Now I don't have to worry about it because in T20s the balls don't move around so much. The reviews were always challenging for me because growing up the umpire's decision was final - if you're out you're out. But with reviews, you have to re-learn that process and it took me a while to work that out. I had a number of bad reviews and eventually, I just went with if the umpire gives you out, you're out."

"Every environment (of T20 leagues around the world) is different, and it really comes down to the different personalities involved. Even in Australia when new personalities came in the environment changed as well. That's what I love about playing T20 leagues because I get to meet so many people whom I'd only played against, and get to know them not just in the dressing room but off the field as well. I love how the dynamics shift so quickly, depending on how things go for the team. I find it fascinating how little things can pull the unit together and they can click.
Virat Kohli was someone who I used to butt heads against a lot, especially since we are both very driven, on the field and to get to know him while playing for Bangalore was very special."

"The most difficult thing in my career was going through Phil Hughes's death - as a cricket community, as the Australian cricket community its something that you never think you'd have to go through. It was an incredibly tough time for us and can't imagine what Phil's family had to go through. It really put things into perspective in my life and helped me understand challenges that I had never really thought of before."

"Look it's going to be a huge challenge going to India - they are playing incredible cricket at the moment under Virat. There's no doubt that the best way is to play to your strengths, which for us are our top order batting and our bowling, esp Starc and Hazelwood. We just have to play to our strengths and not worry about the conditions, and trust that the players have the skills to perform well. As soon as you try and start to play how India play then you've moving away from your strengths, so the ultimate challenge is to play to your skills and not try to be someone you're not."
