However, the latest such innovation may not propel its inventor to similar stardom. While the name of the tournament or the player couldnât be confirmed, the shot has already become a favourite among Twitterati, who are terming it as a âheliscoopâ.
Though it blends much more than the two shots that constitute its name, the batsman clearly looks to have drawn inspiration from them. He started his antics when the bowler initiated his run-up and by the time he was about to pitch the ball, the batsman had swung his bat like a sword twice and feigned a switch-hit, before deciding to go for a paddle sweep that ended up at the boundary at fine-leg.
