BCCI nominates MS Dhoni for Padma Bhushan Award
MS Dhoni’s contribution to Indian cricket has earned him a nomination for the Padma Bhushan award - the country's third highest civilian award. A senior BCCI official confirmed that the Indian cricket board has decided to send only Dhoni’s name for consideration for this year’s Padma Bhushan award.
Nobody can overlook Dhoni's contribution to the Indian cricket as the 36-year-old accumulated 302 ODI caps scoring 9737 runs, 4876 runs in 90 Test matches and in 78 T20Is he has amassed 1212 runs.

"Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been nominated by the BCCI for the Padma Bhushan award. There was no doubt among the members that Dhoni has impeccable credentials. Two World titles (2011 50-over World Cup and 2007 World T20), nearly 10,000 runs, 90 Test matches. There is no one better than him, who could have been nominated," a senior BCCI official said, reported PTI.
The BCCI has not sent any other nominations for the Padma awards this year.
