Lalchand Rajput awarded full-time role as Zimbabwe head coach

He had also served as the coaching director at BCCI's National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru. Rajput, 56, was appointed in charge of the team on an interim basis in June this year after Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) had sacked Heath Streak following the team's failure to secure qualification for the ICC World Cup 2019. Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) chairman Tavengwa Mukhlani noted Rajput's hard-working and passionate approach to coaching as a clinching factor in earning him the full-time role as Zimbabwe target qualification to the next T20 WC.
