Kapil Dev to head group that will look into making of cricket players’ association
Kapil Dev has been roped in by the BCCI as the organization looks to make major changes based on the Lodha reforms report passed in 2016. CoA has decided to form a 'Working Group' comprising Kapil Dev who will work with former home secretary GK Pillay to "start the process of the formation of CPA."

A four-member standing committee chaired by former union home secretary GK Pillai and comprising former India cricketers Mohinder Amarnath, Anil Kumble and Diana Edulji, was appointed to "identify and invite all eligible ex-cricketers to be members, to open bank accounts, receive funds from the BCCI, conduct the first elections for office bearers, communicate the names of BCCI player nominees to the board."

"We've had two meetings already. Right now, we're collecting information from the BCCI about all the former cricketers in India in the male, female and physically challenged category," said a member of the 'Working Group.'
Amidst all this, Diana Edujli has recommended that Prof Ratnakar Shetty’s contract with the BCCI be extended for six more months. This will be the second time that his contract will get extended.
