Arjun Tendulkar faces compliment and criticism from Twitter after U-19 selection
Arjun Tendulkar’s selection in the Rahul Dravid coached U-19 team was welcomed in the social media with both criticism and adulation. While the cricket legend’s son faced allegations of nepotism, there were others who came to Arjun’s defence pointing towards his brilliant domestic form.
Primarily a left-arm seamer, Arjun has been a part of Mumbai’s Under-19 squad last year during the Cooch Behar Trophy, where he managed to take 19 wickets. The tall pacer has the ability to swing the ball late and could come up with crucial contributions in the lower-middle-order as well.
There hasn’t been a shred of doubt in Arjun’s talent and Atul Gaikwad, who was appointed by Sachin two years back to train his son, has also had high words of praise for the all-rounder.
The beginning of a new era!

Savage!
The problem with Arjun Tendulkar’s selection is that his father isn’t a rickshaw driver

Truth bomb!
It is not "Sachin's son" who is picked for India U19. It is Arjun Tendulkar, a player in his own right and we must respect that.

However, there would always be someone better than you at the
But, social media didn’t spare him and the age-old debate of nepotism came to the fore again.

Coming soon! :P
Waiting for Rahul Dravid asking the captain to declare the innings when #ArjunTendulkar is batting at 194*

Sachin Tendulkar right now!
Arjun: Papa, I made it to the under 19 Indian team.
— Devaiah Bopanna (@devaiahPB) June 7, 2018
Sachin: Hmph... when I was under 19, I was already in the Indian Team. #IndianDads #ArjunTendulkar
Nepotism bandwagon!
#ArjunTendulkar is an average bowler. He runs, and delivers the ball with a weird action. Thanks to his father's recommendations, he is now part of the U-19 squad- and hundreds of more talented bowlers get ignored.

Remember, there was someone called Rohan Gavaskar.
They have selected Arjun Tendulkar on the basis of quality of genes so that if he plays well, they can later claim that the study of genetics was first done in ancient India. #ArjunTendulkar
