After having issued a 'conflict of interest' notice to Rahul Dravid, BCCI ombudsman DK Jain has stated that he will wait for the former's response before taking further action on the issue. CoA chief Vinod Rai stated that they have no problems with Dravid and will wait for his response.

Newly-appointed BCCI legal ombudsman DK Jain has been in the news recently after having issued another one of his infamous 'conflict of interest' notices. After giving out notices to the likes of Sourav Ganguly, VVS Laxman and Sachin Tendulkar in the past, Jain has now issued a similar letter to former India Test cricketer and U-19 coach - Rahul Dravid.

Jain added that he is currently awaiting Dravid's response to the notice that was issued earlier and will take further action on the issue post that.

"I am not in a position to say whether the leave of absence is good enough or not. I don't know who has written what, but I received a complaint and I have acted on it. I have sent Mr Dravid a notice, and now I will take the next step once I hear from him.

"I am aware that he has been cleared to join the NCA, but that is all I can say. I am going to adjudicate on the matter only after I receive the no-conflict response from Mr Dravid," Jain was quoted as saying by ESPNCricinfo.com.

However, Supreme Court-appointed Committee of Administrators (CoA) chief Vinod Rai added that they have no objections against Dravid ever since he was appointed NCA chief with a view to convert the academy into a high-performance centre.

"Nothing has changed. As we had said at the time [of the NCA appointment], Dravid is not an India Cements employee at this stage. As far as the BCCI is concerned, there is no conflict of interest at all. The gentleman from Madhya Pradesh is misinformed. The BCCI doesn't have a problem with this [Dravid's position]. I have heard that a notice has been sent to Mr Dravid, and he will respond, but as far as we are concerned, there is no conflict," Rai added.
