World Cup-winning coach Trevor Bayliss feels that the scrapping of the boundary-count rule is fair as he believes that England were lucky to have the advantage of boundary-count. Bayliss who stepped down as England coach and has now been appointed as the coach of Team Abu Dhabi in the upcoming T10.

Owing to the World Cup final of 2019, England were lucky as they trumped New Zealand on boundary count after the super over was tied. While it was rejoicing for England supporters, the rest of the world felt that New Zealand were hard done by. This led to ICC reviewing the rule and scrapping it. Trevor Baylis gives his opinions on this rule change.

"That's fair enough. Whatever rules the governing body has for any competition, rules to be played too. In the World Cup, everyone knew what the rules were and it's not that we made up the rules at the last moment. We were just lucky enough to end on the winning side," said Bayliss to the reporters during the selection draft of the T10 League.

Bayliss believed that the T10 League was going to be exciting because of the quality of players present in the draft. He also believes that this being a new format, this will bring some fresh and new excitement and having the experience of coaching T20 sides, he can provide valuable information and knowledge.

"Well from my point of view, to be honest, it's very new. Having only coached T20 in the past, I will be also new to this (T10) as well. There are some very good players in the draft and I am sure the eight teams will be very good," Bayliss said.

Bayliss had coached Kolkata Knight Riders to two IPL titles in 2012 and 2014. His experience is invaluable. He believes that T10, unlike T20, will be a bowler's game.

"If you have got five very good bowlers you might have to score just 50 runs to win. Teams might pick a team full of bowlers, five very good bowlers you might to score as many runs," he said.

He is also set to replace Tom Moody as Sunrisers Hyderabad's new Head Coach. He expressed his excitement to work in India.

"I am always excited to come to India. I was there with KKR for four years and then I am looking forward to Sunrisers Hyderabad," Bayliss said.

bayliss believes more in man-management rather than coaching or schooling the players to play cricket. He believes that all players must be given their own personal space to realize their true potential and dream of playing cricket.

"From the coach's point of view, it's all about helping the players realize their dream of playing cricket. Playing the game and enjoying," Bayliss signed off.
