WI vs BAN | Seales and Sinclairs fined for breaching ICC’s code of conduct in second Test
Fast bowler Jayden Seales and spinner Kevin Sinclairs have been fined after breaching ICC’s code of conduct in the second Test against Bangladesh at Sabina Park, Kingston Jamaica. The former was also handed one demerit point, his first in 24 months apart from being hit with a fine.
Meanwhile, Sinclair has been penalized 15% of his match fees after using aggressive language towards the visitors. He was warned by the on-field umpires but the spinner ignored them for the moment and repeated the offence. As a result, Sinclair’s actions breached the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel which relates to “disobeying an Umpire’s instruction during an International Match.”
West Indies equalised the two-match series 1-1 after losing the last Test by 101 runs as Taijul Islam’s fifer and Jaker Ali’s counterpunching 91 setup Bangladesh’s first win in West Indies since 2009.
