Rachin's powerful stroke hit a Punjab Kings's cheerleader

Cheerleaders are there to energize the crowd, but sometimes, they unexpectedly find themselves in the line of fire—quite literally. Such was the case for one of Punjab Kings’ cheerleaders at Mullanpur, who ended up injuring her hand after being struck by a boundary shot from Rachin Ravindra.

‌It was all about Priyansh Arya at Mullanpur as the Delhi youngster lit up the stadium with a blistering century off just 39 deliveries. Supporting his onslaught, Marco Jansen and Shashank Singh stitched together a vital 65-run stand and took Punjab to a strong total of 219/6. In response, Chennai openers Rachin Ravindra and Devon Conway gave their team a flying start. The Kiwi pair raced to 39/0 in four overs and hammered Punjab pacers Yash Thakur and Arshdeep Singh. Rachin, in particular, was in fine touch, and one of his shots led to an unexpected moment of both laughter and concern.

On the second ball of the sixth over, Jansen bowled short and outside off. Ravindra was standing tall on the front foot and pulled it cleanly, threading the gap between square leg and midwicket. The ball was struck with immense power and landed beyond the boundary with one bounce for four. However, as it cleared the advertising boards, it accidentally struck one of Punjab Kings’ cheerleaders on the hand. She was visibly in pain and could be seen crying in anguish as she held her injured hand. The moment quickly caught social media’s attention, with Twitter users commenting on Rachin’s powerful shot and the cheerleader’s unfortunate mishap.
