โWATCH | 55-year-old Jonty Rhodes turns back clock with pouncing boundary save
Thereโs a popular saying that age is just a number. Former South African cricketer Jonty Rhodes seemed to be a living example exemplifying the aforementioned as he turned back the clock with a mesmerising save near the boundary line during their International Masterโs League game against Australia.

The Proteas side won the toss and chose to field first at the eve of the encounter, only to come by a storm named Shane Watson. The OZ openers, Callum Ferguson and Watson, ripped the opposition bowling attack with an 186-run partnership before the former was outsmarted by Robin Petersen in the 15th over. A couple of overs later, Thandi Tshabala came into the attack for the penultimate over where Rhodes' immaculate fielding stole the show in the vintage face-off.
A well-set Watson punched a fuller delivery from over the wicket at the stumps towards the long off region on the second ball of the 19th over. As the ball traced towards the boundary, Rhodes pounced like a tiger towards the white cherry and barred it from reaching the boundary boards. The 55-year-old turned back time with his stupendous effort and saved runs, sparking Twitterverse frenzy.
