DC vs GT | Watch David Miller’s Emotional Reaction Post DC Defeat
Delhi Capitals lost a close game to Gujarat Titans, but the team fought till the end. Even without their top order batter till the end, they managed to take the game close with the help of David Miller. Unfortunately, when the team fell short by just one run, Miller broke down after the game.
David Miller has remained a lone warrior for whichever team he plays. But recently in the match against Gujarat Titans, he received support from the other end but still found himself fighting alone in the final over. Against the Gujarat Titans, Delhi was chasing a huge total of 211 runs.
Miller was first retired hurt in the middle overs but he returned to help his team to win the game. Eventually, he was also able to take the game close, by smashing consecutive boundaries against Mohammed Siraj in the 19th over. On the last ball, the team needed one run to draw the game and take it to the Super Over.

But Miller failed to connect the ball with his bat, and Buttler seized the opportunity. He did a run out and Delhi lost the game by a run. Following this, Miller broke down as all his efforts to finish the game in his team's favour went in vain. However, he was consoled by Axar Patel, Mohammed Siraj, and many other players, who loved his efforts to keep the match alive.
Our Take
It was an emotional moment for David Miller, as once again, he gave his all for the team to just end up in the losing cause. He also suffered with an injury following which he was retired hurt. But when he saw that Delhi was losing quick wickets, he decided to come back to the crease and take the team to victory. Surely his decision of denying a single to Kuldeep was questionable, and it would probably be the reason why he went emotional after the loss.
