Arshdeep Singh’s Expensive Spell Triggers Reactions on Twitter
Arshdeep Singh had a day to forget in the clash against Rajasthan Royals. When his team was defending a 200+ target, he was expected to be a key bowler. But Arshdeep went on to leak 68 runs in his spell, being one of the costliest bowlers for the team in the IPL history.

Arshdeep Singh has been phenomenal with the ball in the shortest format of the game. But the IPL 2026 is turning out to be a sort of a nightmare for the Indian bowler, which he would love to forget. He was already struggling to take wickets for Punjab Kings at a consistent pace in this tournament.
And then came the match against Rajasthan Royals. Arshdeep Singh was expected to dominate against batters such as Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and Yashasvi Jaiswal. But it didn't go as he expected. Punjab Kings batted first in this game and they even went on to post more than 220 runs on the board.
Still, it was Arshdeep Singh who ended up playing a vital role, not for Punjab Kings. He conceded a massive total of 68 runs in his 4 over spell, turning out to be one of the game changers for the team.
Here's how Twitter has reacted to Arshdeep Singh going expensive against Rajasthan Royals.

- Really Arshdeep have 2 side One for India & One for franchise 😭 pic.twitter.com/Y2t8QcKy4x
Arshdeep Singh is truly having two different sides of himself. He is able to dominate better than anyone else for the Indian team but gets dominated when he plays for his franchise.

What a season for Punjab's top three! pic.twitter.com/hsB764fx6q
Shreyas Iyer and Prabhsimran Singh have scored 4 fifties for PBKS this season. Priyansh Arya ties with none other than Arshdeep Singh, who crossed his second half-century in IPL 2026 (with the ball).
