Rohit Sharma's Coach Makes Big Statement on 2027 World Cup Availability
Rohit Sharma still has the goal to win the 2027 World Cup for the Indian team. He came close in the previous edition, but ended up losing to Australia in the finals. With the 2027 World Cup coming closer, his coach has talked about Rohit's availability for the tournament.

While India has won various ICC trophies over the last few years, there is some unfinished business too. And this is related to the ODI World Cup, which is all set to take place next year. Rohit Sharma's availability for this tournament remains a concern for the fans, as it is unclear whether he will play or choose to retire.
This has happened with the Hitman last year, as he announced his retirement from the Test format all of a sudden. With him playing the ODI format only, it remains a question whether he will make it till the 2027 World Cup or not.
Amidst all this, his coach, Dinesh Lad, has talked about his availability for the big tournament. Dinesh said, “Being a coach, I don't think Rohit needs to prove anything to anyone. He badly wants to win the ODI World Cup. I have spoken to him and he is very categoric with what he wants in career. I don't think he needs to prove his fitness. Despite the age factor, he is still fit enough.”
Our Take
Rohit Sharma's childhood coach is optimistic on his availability for the 2027 World Cup. And Rohit is personally having some unfinished business when it comes to the World Cup. In the previous edition, he led India to the finals being undefeated but the team suffered a massive loss to Australia in the big game. Dinesh Lad is positive that the Hitman will be a part of the tournament, as Rohit returns to ODI action in the series against Afghanistan.
