Saba Karim reckons that Shubhman Gill can play the role of a backup opener in the upcoming T20 World Cup to be held in Australia. Karim further praised Gill saying he possesses the right technique to play across three formats and KL Rahul should bat at number four in ODIs for World Cup.

Ashish Nehra has revealed that former India captain Sourav Ganguly used to believe in the philosophy that whatever happens on the ground should stay there. Nehra further added that Ganguly knew very well how to run the Indian cricket team and he was clear about the role of each player in the squad.

Sourav Ganguly and Sanjay Manjrekar have been added to the ICC commentary panel for the upcoming ICC ODI World Cup 2019 which is scheduled to be played in England & Wales from May 30 onwards. Nasser Hussain, Ian Bishop, Melanie Jones, and Kumar Sangakkara are also part of the star-studded panel.

South Africa pacer, Anrich Nortje, fractured his right thumb during net practice session in Port Elizabeth which has ruled him out of the upcoming ICC ODI World Cup which starts on May 30. Nortje will take six-eight weeks to fully recover as Chris Morris is named as his replacement in the WC squad.
