Whether he played for Australia or Hyderabad Kingsmen, his luck surely has played a major factor for individual and team success. A player who came in as a concussion substitute in the 2019 Ashes has gone to create such a massive impact for his teams.
Labuschagne played the World Test Championship final for the very first time against India in 2023. And Australia was able to come out victorious in the same. After missing out on the 2019 World Cup, he made it to the 2023 World Cup squad. And this time too, his luck must have favoured Australia to a great extent, as they won the tournament, defeating India.
Now in the Pakistan Super League, Marnus Labuschagne was appointed the captain of Hyderabad Kingsmen. Under his captaincy, the team has managed to make it to the finals in its debut season.

If Hyderabad Kingsmen lift the Pakistan Super League trophy in its maiden season, it will be true that luck has favoured Marnus Labuschagne to a great extent. But it will not be right if all the credits are solely given to the luck factor. While Labuschagne has received opportunities, he has managed to use the opportunities pretty well and make his name in the game.
