Bangladesh Dominate Pakistan With Third Consecutive Test Victory
Bangladesh have completely dominated Pakistan in the recent Test series. The first Test match was being played at Dhaka and it was the home team which came out victorious. This is the third consecutive victory secured by Bangladesh over Pakistan in Tests.
While the Indian fans are busy wondering which team would be able to make it to the IPL playoffs, Pakistan and Bangladesh are having a Test series against each other. And unfortunately, the start of the series didn't turn out to be one which Pakistan would have expected. A team which used to dominate Tests to a great extent has now started to fall down.
The first Test match of the series was being played at Dhaka, and the home team came out victorious. Bangladesh was sent to bat first in this game, as they took advantage and posted a massive total of 413 runs. In response to the same, Pakistan was only able to score 386 runs, giving a lead of 27 runs to Bangladesh as they batted again.
And this time also, Bangladesh dominated with the bat, scoring 240/9 before they declared. Pakistan was given a massive target of 268 runs, as the team got all out at just 163, giving Bangladesh a win by 104 runs. This also became the third consecutive win secured by Bangladesh over Pakistan in Tests.
Our Take
As a cricket fan, some of us may be a little bit confused. Is it Bangladesh playing better cricket than ever before or has Pakistan not been able to do well in the international format lately? It should be noted that Pakistan also lost their previouas ODI series against Bangladesh, and now they have started the Test series with a loss in just a few months.
