The last gameweek had an average score of 42 and left a lot of managers frustrated with low scores. As we head into gameweek 4, managers will have to replace Aguero, who has been banned for 3 games. Aguero’s departure means that managers will be left with a good amount of money for replacements.

Before starting with the player picks for gameweek 4, let’s take a look at how our picks for the third gameweek had performed.

The last gameweek turned out to be a relatively low-scoring one since most users captained Ibrahimovic or Aguero, and the duo failed to deliver. United have proven to be a strong defensive side, and Walker’s injury means that managers will have to find a replacement for the Spurs player.

Player Picks

Sergio Aguero’s 3-game ban means that a larger amount of money can be invested in your midfield and defence. This gameweek could be the ideal time for a lot of managers to play their wildcard and go for a more balanced team. Zlatan Ibrahimovic is now a part of over 50% teams in the game, and users who do not have him could suffer if the Swede decides to go guns blazing.

Strikers

Alvaro Negredo (6.9): The forward has risen the highest in the game till now which is great news for those who got hold of him at his original price. Negredo faces London club Crystal Palace who have been unable to keep a cleansheet in all the three matches they’ve played till now. At a relatively cheap price, Negredo surely looks like a must pick.

Romelu Lukaku (9.0): The Belgian hasn’t been in form and scored his last goal for Everton in March against Chelsea. However, Everton has relatively easy fixtures coming up and this makes him a good pick for now.

Diego Costa (9.7): The Spanish forward has picked up points in all the three games he’s been a part of with two goals and an assist. Costa will face Swansea at the Liberty Stadium and could again get important points for his owners.

Midfielders

Eden Hazard (10.2): Azza is back in form and has given great returns to his owners till now. He will be a good choice for captaincy against a weak Swansea side.

Alexis Sanchez (11.0): The Chilean player comes at a premium price but has a tendency to explode and give lavish returns. Owners willing to shell out the large sum could well be in for a good haul of points.

Erik Lamela (7.1): The player is being offered a new deal and seems to be an integral part of the team under Pochettino. The Argentine is an important creative and goal-scoring outlet for the team, and with three easy fixtures in a row for Spurs, could be the comparatively cheap midfielder you’re looking for.

Ross Barkley (7.7): The Englishman will complete our midfielder quartet. Everton have been offensively strong this year, and Barkley is a goal threat against Moyes’ Sunderland. The player along with Leighton Baines, is responsible for set pieces which makes him a must-have player in your team.

Defenders

Ashley Williams (5.0): Everton players have lauded Williams for adding much-needed solidity to their defensive game after playing two games and keeping a cleansheet in both. The experienced defender is a true leader on the field, and there is a strong possibility that he will guide Everton to another cleansheet against Sunderland.

Toby Alderweireld (6.5): Spurs have a good run of fixtures coming up, and the centre back can prove to be an amazing buy if managers are willing to invest in him. The defender also has a knack of scoring important goals.

César Azpilicueta (6.0): Swansea will have a difficult time breaking down the Chelsea defence. Over and above that, Azpilicueta can surprise owners by giving an odd assist. However, they should be aware that Chelsea will have a tough run of fixtures coming up and accordingly make choices.

Goalkeeper

Ben Foster (4.6): The goalkeeper has helped his team keep two cleansheets in the first three matches and would be a safe pick against a Bournemouth team which lacks the incisiveness to break down the Baggies defense.

Differentials

Kelechi Iheanacho (6.9): The Nigerian player will most probably lead the City forward line and will look towards making a strong impact in the three matches that he starts.

Roberto Pereyra (6.0): The former Juventus player scored the solitary goal for Watford against Arsenal last gameweek and can become a good offensive option for players.

Scott Dann (5.5): The Crystal Palace defender is extremely good in the air and could give you the much-needed goal from a defender.

Adrián (5.0): He may not be the cheapest option available but could be a brilliant pick considering he is only found in under 4% of all the teams.
