Super Cup | Delhi Dynamos FC taunt AIFF after East Bengal FC fail to show up
Delhi Dynamos have made the quarter-finals after East Bengal FC handed them a walkover and took a swipe at All India Football Federation and others involved in the organisation of the Super Cup. The Delhi-based franchise was given a walkover in against Gokulam Kerala FC in the previous round too.
Indian Super League side Delhi Dynamos made the quarter-finals of the ongoing AIFF Super Cup after their opponents East Bengal FC failed to show up for the scheduled knockout match on Sunday. Following the walkover, the Delhi-based franchise took a jibe at All India Football Federation and others involved in the organisation of the Super Cup. This was the second consecutive time that the Dynamos were handed a walkover in the ongoing domestic knockout competition.
“Owing to the inept handling of the situation by all concerned, Delhi Dynamos have had to travel to Bhubaneswar for the second time and get a walkover in the ongoing Super Cup. @eastbengalfc failed to show up for their clash,” the club tweeted.

Kolkata-based East Bengal FC did not turn up for the round of 16
Minerva FC, who won the 2018 edition of the I-League and Aizawl FC as well as Gokulam Kerala FC did not turn up for their Super Cup qualifying round matches as the clubs did not get any response from Indian governing body. However, But newly crowned I-League champions Chennai City FC played their Super Cup encounter against ISL side FC Pune City on Sunday.
