Delhi Dynamos FC manager Josep Gombau has stated that Lallianzuala Chhangte has all the potential to be the best ever winger in Indian football. Meanwhile FC Pune City manager Phil Brown has revealed that Diego Carlos' season is over with a grade two muscle tear as Stankovic remains a doubt.

Despite having yet another underwhelming season in the league, Delhi Dynamos fans would be proud of the young talents that came up under the management of Gombau. And the one who has gone all the way to become the fan favourite is Chhangte. The 21-year-old has played 16 matches in the top flight league so far, scoring four times and assisting twice.

However, while his solo displays couldn’t see his team qualify for the playoffs, it has surely caught the eyes of foreign scouts. The youngster was also called for a two-day trial with Norwegian club Viking FK and while he is waiting for his call, manager Gombau sounded confident Chhangte could reach the highs.

"Chhangte is first of all very young – he is 21. But he has potential, he is very quick, and I think if he keeps working like this, then in time he can be one of the best wingers in India and he will have the chance to go to Europe," said Gombau in the pre-match press conference, reported the ISL website.

Delhi would be hosting a high-flying Pune hoping they retain their five-match unbeaten streak. However, it won’t be easy with injuries piling up in the fag end of the season, as Gombau revealed.

"We have Bikramjit Singh who was injured in the last game. Also, we have Nandhakumar Sekar who is injured. He will not be able to play tomorrow. Just these two. The rest are fit to play," Gombau added.

Meanwhile, Pune City, who have seemingly found a new form under manager Phil Brown, have got an injury boost in the return of defender Matt Mills as he came off the bench to play against NorthEast United. However, Brown sounded optimistic with his squad selection and in all probability stick with the full-proof squad.

"It is an interesting question because we have talked a lot on what’s gone right and one of the big things is the system. I think it is the strength of the foreign player in the middle of the two centre-halves. Sarthak Golui and Sahil Panwar have done really well. Then you have Martin Diaz. However, we have had a look at the back four. There are things you can do from a coach’s perspective," said Brown.

Pune, though, would be without crucial players in the midfield, a position where most of Brown’s tactics have been executed from.

"Marko Stankovic came off the other day against NorthEast and he tweaked his hamstring. Marko is a doubt for the game. Diego Carlos suffered a heavy blow at the end of the game against Northeast. Looks like he has got a grade two tear in his ankle ligaments.

“So, it looks like his season is over, which is very disappointing from our perspective. He has been one of the bright prospects for us recently. He has been absolutely first class. We also have a suspension of Adil Khan. But Marcelo Pereira is back," Brown concluded.
