Manchester United have received a transfer boost after RB Salzburg sporting director Christoph Freund denied they have a clause to sell Erling Braut Haaland to RB Leipzig for a cut-price fee. The in-form striker is one of the most in-demand players across Europe with a number of teams behind him.

According to English outlet Mirror, Manchester United have been dealt with a major boost in their chase of Erling Braut Haaland. RB Salzburg director Christoph Freund has revealed that no clause exists in Haaland’s contract to sell him to their sister club RB Leipzig for a cut price. Haaland is in-demand with top European clubs with the Red Devils amongst many sides interested in the Norwegian starlet.

Manchester United are looking to add a quality finisher in their ranks after they bid farewell to Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez this summer. But reports in Germany claimed he could be on his way to the Bundesliga for a fraction of the fee with a reported £25 million RB Leipzig only release clause. However, it is believed that Salzburg will not accept any offers below £75 million in January or next summer.

The Mirror report further added that former footballer and Haaland’s father Alf-Inge, had reportedly visited Carrington and Arsenal's training ground as they consider their options. It is being reported that Haaland Sr has advised Haaland Jr to move to Germany first and then to England later in the career.  The 19-year-old scored once again coming off the bench in Salzburg’s UEFA Champions League clash against Genk in Belgium and the goal now takes his goal tally to 8 goals in 5 Champions League games.

In total, the Norwegian has scored 27 goals in 19 games and also provided 7 assists but it's his Champions League tally that has seen the world sit up. The unreal numbers have caused big European clubs to enquire about Haaland’s availability and price-tag with teams like Liverpool, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Paris Saint Germain and Manchester City all monitoring the former Molde striker.
