Erling Haaland Set for Hollywood Debut in Animated Film ‘ViQueens’
Erling Haaland is set to make his first movie appearance in the animated film ViQueens. The Manchester City striker will voice a Viking named Haaland in the project, which is expected to release in late 2026. Directed by Harald Zwart, the film also features stars like Rita Ora and Ella Purnell.

For the first time in his career, Erling Haaland is set to enter the film industry alongside his football commitments. The 25-year-old Manchester City striker has reportedly landed his debut movie role in an animated adventure film called ViQueens, directed by Harald Zwart. In a role that perfectly matches his public image, Haaland will voice a Viking character who also carries his own name in the movie.
The film is described as an animated comedy adventure based in a world filled with warrior girls, Nordic landscapes, and mythology inspired by the Silk Road. Haaland’s strong physique, standing at 6’5”, along with his long blonde hair, has often earned him comparisons to a real-life Viking, making the casting an easy fit. The project also includes a notable cast, with Rita Ora and Ella Purnell taking lead roles, while Alan Carr, Steve Speirs, and Anton Lesser are also part of the voice team.
Production is currently underway, with the movie expected to release in late 2026. Away from cinema, Haaland remains one of football’s biggest stars. He still holds the Premier League single-season scoring record with 36 goals in the 2022–23 season and reached 100 career goals in just 105 matches, underlining his dominance on the pitch.
