Another taken into custody after match-fixing approach in KPL

The Central Crime Branch (CCB) has taken into custody a Bengaluru drummer named Bhavesh Bafna, who was contracted by Bijapur Bulls for performing during KPL matches. Bafna is being questioned by the CCB after being held for allegedly approached many pacers in his match-fixing agenda.

The CCB is all invested in investigating alleged match-fixing and betting scams that has been widespread in the Karnataka Premier League (KPL). According to the latest turn of events, on Wednesday, a resident of JP Nagar in Bengaluru was held in custody by the crime branch with charges of attempted match-fixing.

Bhavesh Bafna, a drummer who was contracted by Bijapur Bulls for performing during KPL matches, has allegedly approached many pacers, forcing them to concede more runs by bowling loose deliveries. Reported by one of Ballari Tuskers' bowlers, Bafna and another person identified as Sanyam had offered him two lakh rupees and above for conceding more runs. he Bengaluru bowler has filed a criminal complaint against the aforementioned offenders. 

"Sanyam and Bafna approached me saying I should give more than 10 runs in an over. For this, they offered to make an advance payment of Rs two lakh and with a promise to shower me with gifts later," CCB sources quoted the complainant as saying, reported Cricbuzz.

Meanwhile, Joint commissioner of police (CCB) Sandeep Patil has revealed that they are looking for a person named Sanyam, a bookie from Delhi, who is also involved in this crime. "We have taken Bafna into custody and are questioning him. The bowler told us that Bafna had asked him to concede more than 10 runs per over," Patil was quoted as saying by Cricbuzz.
