Arch-rivals India and Pakistan will lock horns in the group stage of the 2016 ICC World T20 Cup at the picturesque Dharamsala stadium on March 19, and the excitement over the epic clash is already in the air with the curator of the pitch predicting a high-scoring encounter between the two.

Ahead of the high voltage clash HPCA, curator Sunil Chauhan shared his views on the pitch that will play host to the marquee encounter on March 19.

"For Twenty20s, you know how the wickets are. This one will also be the same; it will be a batsman-friendly wicket. The pitch is such that it will be a high-scoring game," HPCA chief curator Sunil Chauhan told IANS during a chat at Dharamsala.

Chauhan also added he expects the lush green outfield at the HPCA to be lightning-quick, which will also contribute to a high-scoring game between the arch rivals.

"For 40 overs the wicket will behave as the same. But the outfield will be fast. We are preparing it right now by using sand and organic manure. We will start preparing the pitches on February 24.

"Currently, we are preparing the outfield. If you see the ground on February 28 or 29, you will see a lush green field unlike now," added Chauhan, pointing towards the outfield where work was ongoing.

The curator also expects a full crowd for the games at the venue, especially for the clashes between India and Pakistan on March 19 and the trans-Tasman rivals Australia and New Zealand on March 18.

"I am 100 percent sure it will be a full house for both the matches. Both are big games and everyone is excited to see the India-Pakistan match in Dharamsala," concluded Chauhan.
