Shane Warne has claimed that Indian left-arm wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav could challenge Pakistan's Yasir Shah as the best leg-spinner in world cricket. The spin maestro has also talked about his meeting Yadav during the Australia's tour, early this year, and praised his "confusing deliveries".

The Indian wrist spinner has claimed seven wickets in the Australia series which included a match turning hat-trick in the second ODI in Kolkata. The 22-year-old was excellent when it came to reading his opposition and threatened the stumps as much as possible. In his debut Test, Kuldeep deceived the Australian teams with his clever variations and picked up four wickets in the match that earned him a lot of plaudits. Now, his idol and the finest exponent of wrist spin bowling, Shane Warne sees everything in him to be the best leg-spinner of the current era.

"If young Kuldeep remains patient when he's bowling in all forms then he could challenge Yasir as the best leg- spinner in the world and quickly," Warne tweeted.

The Australian spin wizard, who had a brief session with Yadav during the first Test match in Pune, is impressed with his ability to create confusion in the minds of the batsmen.

"Was a pleasure to meet young Kuldeep when I was last in India. I really enjoy him bowl and cause confusion even against Oz," was another of Warne's tweets.

In March, Yadav had admitted that he used tips he received from Warne on his Test debut on the opening day of the decider against Australia in Dharamsala.

"If you see the first wicket, it was not a Chinaman, it was a flipper that I learnt from Warne. It's fun to learn from him and then dismiss batsmen from his own country. Warne is my idol and I have followed him since childhood, even now I watch his videos," Kuldeep had said.

"Chinaman is difficult because not many bowlers do it but it came naturally to me when I started playing cricket. It needs a lot of work and training. It's more or less like that of a leg-spinner, the only difference is of the right hand and left hand."

Ravi Rampaul or Shane Shillingford? Who will take more wickets?
