Pink ball to be used in India A vs New Zealand A second unofficial Test
India A and New Zealand A's second unofficial Test match will be played with the pink ball on September 30. The BCCI has taken the decision after consulting with New Zealand Cricket, but unlike other pink ball matches, the game will not be a day-night affair as it is in international cricket.
The BCCI has used the pink-ball in the Duleep Trophy and has now decided to extend the usage in the second unofficial Test between India A and New Zealand A in Vijayawada, which will be held on September 30. However, due to the lack of floodlights at the newly-built

The pink ball first made its debut in Indian first-class cricket in the 2016 edition of the Duleep Trophy. This season's Duleep Trophy, which is currently underway, is being played under lights with the pink ball.
Most of the players of India A squad, 10 out of 14, featured in the day-night Duleep Trophy opener held in Lucknow and have an experience of playing with the pink ball before. The BCCI received encouraging feedback from various members, but there seem to be no plans to hold a day-night Test in India in the near future.
