ICC appeals to find out information on one suspect from Al Jazeera documentary
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has made a public appeal to help it identify the remaining one suspect of the Al Jazeera documentary 'Cricket's Match-Fixers', telecast earlier in May this year. ICC's Anti Corruption Unit (ACU) has identified all the suspects except the central character.
According to the sting operation, Aneel Munawar, who might be a member of Dawood Ibrahim’s “D-company”, informed the reporter about the fixing of the fifth Test of the India-England series played in December 2016 Chennai.
"We have identified every other person in the original documentary and have spoken to a number of them in connection with match-fixing, including those who are not deemed to be participants under our Anti-Corruption Code," Alex Marshall, General Manager ICC ACU, said.

Speaking about the upcoming second documentary, ICC ACU general manager said, "As with the first programme, we will investigate any claims made in a full and thorough manner and we take any allegations of corruption, historical or contemporary, extremely seriously. Based on what we already know, we have engaged the services of an independent betting analysis company to examine the claims made about particular matches.”
