As per a BCCI statement, all-rounder Jayant Yadav has been traded by Delhi Capitals to Mumbai Indians for the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League in 2019. The Haryana off-spinner has picked up only four wickets from the 10 IPL matches that he has played so far in his IPL career.

Yadav will now play for MI in the next edition for which the auctions concluded earlier this week. He was bought by Delhi Daredevils in 2015 during the seventh IPL auction for INR 10 lakhs.

“Jayant Yadav will play for the Mumbai Indians in the VIVO Indian Premier League 2019 after being traded by the Delhi Capitals. The right arm off-spinner has been part of the Delhi franchise since 2015 playing in 10 IPL matches,” a BCCI statement read.

From four Test matches, Yadav has picked up 11 wickets and has also featured in an ODI for India. As a batsman, Yadav has got a Test hundred against England back in December 2016 and has around 2000 first-class runs.

“The trading window remains open until 5:00 PM (IST) 30 days prior to the start of the VIVO Indian Premier League 2019 Season,” the statement further added.
