After changing jerseys with Chennai Super Kings following a successful ten-year stint with Mumbai Indians, Harbhajan Singh has stated that he always had the goal of winning the IPL trophy, as MS Dhoni. Stating Dhoni as one of the greatest skippers, Harbhajan has hailed his awareness about the game.

CSK managed to get a brilliant deal in Harbhajan where they had to shell out a petty 2 crores for an IPL veteran although they had to let Ravichandran Ashwin go. And though Harbhajan is no more a regular in the national side where he last played back in the 2016 Asia Cup, he has been brilliant in IPL scalping 127 wickets at an average of 26.54 in 136 matches.

Playing under Dhoni, who is known for his brilliant guidance to spinners, the off-breaker would definitely become doubly dangerous this season. And Harbhajan has already seemed to relish the thought of playing with him in the yellow jersey.

"It is always a great feeling to play along with MS Dhoni. I'm looking forward to working with him again towards a common goal - this time to win the trophy for the Chennai Super Kings," Harbhajan Singh told chennaisuperkings.com.

Dhoni has won 2 IPL titles and 2 Champions League T20 titles as the CSK captain and is the only captain to win all the 3 ICC trophies- 2007 T20 World Cup, 2011 World Cup and 2013 Champions Trophy. Harbhajan, who has picked up 105 wickets in the 102 games spread across ODIs and T20s when he played under Dhoni, couldn’t stop praising him.

“He (Dhoni) understands the game really well, is street-smart and thinks ahead of the game and I feel that's very important for a captain, especially in T20. That's what makes him a great skipper," said Bhajji, reported by PTI.

Bhajji had been an important part of Dhoni’s 2007 T20 World Cup squad and the 2011 World Cup squad. He picked up 9 wickets in the ODI event as India won the title after 28 years, and CSK fans would love to see the duo combine again.
