Ravindra Jadeja is one of the best fielders in the world and his throwing ability is second to none. Today, he affected a run-out by playing to the patience of the batsman, but his unnecessary delay had already left R Ashwin fuming and Virat Kohli with a confused look on his face.

India, after scoring a humongous first-innings total of 649/9, were in complete control of the game and it was all down to the bowlers to keep the same momentum going. And they did live up to the faith as Windies were reduced to 21/3 in 9.2 overs and were dependent on the shoulders of Sunil Ambris and Shimron Hetmyer to rescue them from the precarious position. However, when the opposition has players like Ravindra Jadeja in the team, there is always a wicket around the corner.

On the penultimate delivery of the 12th over, Hetmyer pushed a back of a length delivery to mid-on where Jadeja was stationed. Thinking a single was possible, Ambris went running down, but the ball was safe on Jadeja’s hands. Seeing that, Hetmyer decided to run back to his own crease at a time when Ambris had already crossed the halfway line of the pitch.

But, Ambris was in no position to return and within a few seconds, both the batsmen found themselves at one end. However, by then, Jadeja has started jogging towards the bowler's end and wanted to have some fun. He looked around and didn’t realise that Hetmyer had put in his full force to be back at the non-striker’s end. The teammates had to scream at him to throw and he instantly threw the ball at the stumps to disturb the furniture. This could've been a disaster of its own had he missed this chance and the prospect of that didn’t make Ashwin a happy man. Even Virat Kohli was not at all amused by the theatrics, but a laughter soon broke out and the atmosphere became lighter.
