Kedar Jadhav has sustained a hamstring strain in the final of the Asia Cup yesterday when he was stealing a quick run against Bangladesh in Dubai. Earlier, Jadhav witnessed the same problem during the opening game of IPL 2018 against Mumbai Indians and was out of action for the entire season.

Kedar Jadhav who walked down to the pavilion for a while after he suffered a hamstring strain while batting during the Asia Cup final between India and Bangladesh. Jadhav, who was out of action for three months nursing a hamstring injury, witnessed the same problem again as he tried to steal a quick single after hitting the ball to mid-off during the run chase. His injury was looked by the physio of Team India - Patrick Farhart. After taking a rest for a while during the match, he returned to the crease down the 223-run target. BCCI has promised to treat Kedar Jadhav’s hamstring strain suffering and prepare him for the future matches.

“Kedar suffered a right hamstring strain which is the other leg from his previous problem. Scans will be done and update on the same will be given in a few days,” a BCCI official told PTI.

Jadhav is still hoping to get the treatment done positively and enter the field for future priorities. India will meet West Indies in ODI and T20I series next before traveling to Australia.

“It’s at least Grade I or II tear. Let’s see tomorrow,” Jadhav said yesterday after the game.
